Many students are looking for free, online practice tests for the certification which they are pursuing. I’ve lost track of how many times a student has recommended to me some resource they found online that was (unbeknownst to them) riddled with errors, contained errors that were misleading, or were outright illegitimate in nature. I’ve posted about Bad Practice Tests before and they are plentiful, but good online resources just didn’t seem to coincide with free online resources. Unfortunately, so many students are pursuing certification because they are in between jobs, and that makes it hard to spend money on the good practice tests that are so useful in exposing weak areas and validating one’s studies.
Here are two.
three. TechExams comes well recommended to me by reputable sources. There is a lot of information there for certifications from CompTIA and many others. CrucialExams looks very promising. It seems particularly well targeted towards items that appear on actual exams, without committing the sin of crossing into braindump territory. ExamCompass is another well done individual effort that is praiseworthy for its accuracy. Edit: TechExams did come well recommended, but when I checked it out myself I found a lot of out-of-date material. Upon review I can’t recommend it.
